Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a multinational services company acting in the oil and gas industry . Our client specializes in well flow management and employs more than 4,500 people in more than 50 countries. This company seeks a health and safety expert to fill the role of Country HSE Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a respected company. The position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia, but will require extensive travel to Batam and Kalimantan.
Key responsibilities will include:
Render advice, guidance and information on HSE matters, including existing and proposed legislation
Monitor company activities for compliance with the Company’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental management system
Ensure all non-conformances, defects and deficiencies relating to HS&E management system are promptly reported, properly recorded and satisfactory corrected and/or preventative action has been taken
Liaise with external bodies such as enforcing authorities, legislative agencies, industry organizations, standards authorities
Scheduling and performance of internal audits of offshore and onshore worksites, and external audits of subcontractors
Assist the development and implementation of HSE systems for all projects and business activities
Participate in accident/incident/near miss investigations and reporting, together with the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions where required
Job Requirements
Experience as an oil and gas industry HSE professional, including off shore experience and knowledge of marine, well intervention and diving activities
Certifications in ISO, ISM, OIM, OSH legislation will be highly valued
More than10 years’ experience, mostly in the oil and gas sector
Experience in tendering processes
Willing to travel throughout Indonesia
Excellent communication skills
Previous experience in a sales and or training position will be a bonus
Up-to-date technologically, SAP will be very helpful
Proficient in English language
