Summary:
To provide technical support and training for International Energy products (EDIN, EDIN Desktop, PEPS, GEPS, Energy Map Services etc.) to a number of customers in the Asia Pacific region and answer questions on products and services, working in collaboration with other customer care tiers.
General Job Duties:
Provide onsite and webex training for international energy products
Provide technical support for international data content and services
Specific Job Duties:
- All customer contact, proactive support visits, calls, emails, lunch and learns, demos, training will have a customer support ticket entered within a reasonable time frame if out of town (24 hours) upon return to office
- Work closely with the account manager to provide post sales support via presentations, training sessions, workshops as required
- Communicate with the account manager any ongoing support issues with their customers
- Assist with onsite sales calls on technical, product and data knowledge. Also responsible for providing list of attendees for all customer visits to the account manager upon completion
- Collaborate in getting the customer care teams prepared for new product releases, service releases and product enhancements. Help disseminate new offerings and enhancements to customers
- Ascertain knowledge and understanding of industry workflows and how the customer utilisesproducts to suggest best practices
- Responsible for contacting customers regularly, verifying receipt of product updates and offering assistance with installations as required. Accounts will also need to be notified at least once per month in an effort to increase support, company exposure and provide assistance to help account managers with potential at risk accounts
- Provide mentoring and coaching with peers on areas of expertise including presentations IHS internal employees on products, data and other industry related essential information
- Contribute and provide feedback to product groups on identified issues, bugs, and requested enhancements identified by customers, and during BETA and or acceptance testing for product release
Required Education: Degree in a geoscience discipline, masters preferred
Required Experience: Experience in oil and gas industry , experience in a customer facing role
Other Skills:
- Ability to understand and work with complex databases and information solutions
- Proven ability to deliver high quality training in a classroom environment
- Ability to comprehend current developments in their area of expertise, as they relate to our customers and their use of Client offerings
- Very strong oral and written communication skills
- Displays sense of urgency in resolving customer issues
- Needs to be comfortable in working in a fast pace support environment
- Self starter and team player
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma , Professional Degree, Geology/Geophysics or equivalent.
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Engineering - Oil/Gas or equivalent.
